Are you currently struggling with a matter about your kid’s bedroom? A kid’s bedroom is typically smaller in size compared to other rooms in the house. This would give you a headache when it comes the time for the kid to get out of his or her tiny little crib and ready to face the school life. But before you go frustrated and choose too big a bed (which will most likely occupy the room), you can try to use a loft bed with desk as a solution. It means exactly what it is: A loft bed that comes with an auxiliary desk for work.
A loft bed is a bed that is supported by posts that give the bed a certain raise above the floor. It is somewhat similar to a bunk bed but is different in that a loft bed usually comes with only one bed frame. The area directly under the bed is that empty space which can be turned into a working space. With this kind of bed, you no longer need to feel the headache coming from having to think about coordinating bed and work desk so the two do not occupy too much space in the process.
Types of Loft Bed with Desk
Before you go rushing out to nearby furniture store, there are some types of loft bed that comes with a desk that you need to know:
1.Loft bed with roll-out desk
This style of loft bed is interesting in that it comes with detached desk that can be, well, rolled out of the structure and place somewhere else to use for work.
2.Standard loft bed with a built-in desk
The desk in this kind of bed is of integral structure to the bed itself. The desk is permanently attached to the bed and it should be enough to accommodate books, notebooks, and a computer.
3.L-shaped bed with a built-in desk
This is probably the most accommodative of them all. Similar in shape with other types of desk-featuring beds, the L-shaped variant features two beds: one on the upper level and one on the area directly beneath it. The work desk is built-in to the exterior of the bed’s structure. Your kids can share the room while the oldest can study comfortably on the desk.
A loft bed with desk is such a reliable addition to your kids’ bedroom because it merges functionality with comfort. Working as both a work station and a sleeping area at the same time, the bed offers neat organization while still keeping up with your kid’s need for comfort.
